While we were talking to the people at the front desk about what to do and see in Nashville, they told us that they offered free entertainment Sunday nights. The girl said a country singer named Paul Hill would be singing that night, and that we should be sure not to miss it. Free is free, so even though we don't go out much after 6 pm, we decided to stroll down at 7 and check it out. After all, this IS Nashville!!!! Well, were we ever surprised! This guy could SING. It was a great evening of entertainment, and we really enjoyed ourselves. If you click on the MUSIC link on his website, you can hear some of his music. Pack up Your Memories is his own original piece, written for him by a friend. You can check out his sound at:
You can also hear his music on his My Space website:

As part of the Sunday night pitch, a guy named Tommy came out and tried to sell the crowd on taking his Nashville and the Stars Homes tour. We took the bait. Decided to stay an extra day and take the tour, which meant we could take in Paul's show again on Weds. I snitched a picture from his website, but I'm sure they won't mind. I'll take my camera Weds. night.
Paul is one of the myriad of young music artists who come to Nashville hoping to strike the right "chord" and hit the big time. They play the bars, RV parks, street corners, wherever they get a chance! Each one is "chasing that neon rainbow" and hoping to catch a big break. They are all so talented and while it's rough on them, it sure does make for a lot of entertainment for the average joe.
